California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo Solar Project

California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo broke ground in the summer of 2017 on an 18.5 acre photovoltaic power station that includes more than 16,000 individual solar panels with a capacity of 4.5 megawatts. The facility was built adjacent to Highway 1 on the western side of the Cal Poly campus and was financed, designed and constructed by REC Solar, one of the Nation’s largest solar providers. REC Solar contracted DPSI to provide a topographic survey, title report research, and documentation research. DPSI also provided a grading plan for the solar array, grading for the new classroom and parking lot, access roads, pre and post drainage analysis, and storm water pollution prevention plan.
